BLM recreation area 35 mi southeast of Safford in a 2,000-acre sand dunes OHV playground — two solar-pumped concrete hot tubs fed by an artesian well drilled by accident in 1928. Primitive campsites and vault toilets. Fee: $3/vehicle/day. Fee: $3/vehicle/day covers camping and soaking. Remote — ~25 mi of rough dirt road, no water or services. BLM facility work planned June 2026-Jan 2027 may cause closures. Weekend OHV noise.
