Detailed Description

USFS concrete soaking pool built by the CCC in the 1930s at the end of Granite Creek Road (~7,000 ft), perched above Granite Creek Falls at the edge of the Gros Ventre Wilderness — 45x75-ft pool ~93°F summer, up to ~112°F winter. In winter, access by snowmobile/ski/dogsled only. Fee: ~$12 adult / ~$7 child, cash only. Cash only; no cell; winter wheeled access prohibited — snowmobile/ski/dogsled only.
