Nat-Soo-Pah occupies a band of artesian hot springs at the base of the South Hills east of Hollister, about 18 miles south of Twin Falls. The site began as Wild Horse Springs, where locals hauled hot water for decades before the Hot Wells Development Company opened a natatorium there in 1930 and held a naming contest. 'Nat-Soo-Pah,' submitted by Twin Falls resident Vernon Mund, won; per local historian Virginia Ricketts, Mund defined it as 'the water which now bubbles into and fills the new plunge,' though the resort's owners embellished the story into the now-standard 'magic mineral water' — a name that also nods to the greenish tint the water picks up passing through a layer of iron pyrite, or fool's gold. Today the seasonal (May–Labor Day) resort runs a large mineral swimming pool around 92–99°F with a slide and diving boards, a 104–106°F hot soak pool, a chemical-free hydro-jet tub and a 75-site campground. Admission is cash only.
