Indian Springs Bath House began as the Langford Tourist Courts in 1927, and its two private baths were built then from mostly natural materials — wood, redwood, and lava rock — with gravel bottoms and free-flowing artesian mineral water. The small bath measures 4×4 feet for one or two soakers; the large bath is 6×8 feet and fits up to six, with a small-bath pump that can circulate water and activate jets.
It is one of the few remaining Truth or Consequences establishments drawing directly from free-flowing hot springs rather than drilled wells — part of the Hot Springs Artesian Basin system that produces about 2.5 million gallons of mineral water per day. Walk-in soakers are welcome first-come, first-served; overnight guests in the property's cottage rooms get two free half-hour baths daily.
