Kah-Nee-Ta Hot Springs Resort is a tribally owned resort on the Warm Springs Reservation in north-central Oregon, on the Warm Springs River about 60 miles southeast of Portland. The resort centers on a geothermal aquifer that surfaces at around 130°F; water is piped into several soaking areas, including a historic outdoor pool, a communal hot tub area, and private tubs inside lodge rooms. The resort offers lodging (rooms and tipis), a golf course, horseback riding, a casino, and seasonal tribal-culture programming. Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs members have used the springs for centuries; the first bathhouse opened here in 1929, and the resort has grown into one of Oregon's best-known hot springs destinations.
